Bookkeeper: The Arc of Tempe, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a full-charge, part-time bookkeeper. Must have experience in A/P and A/R, as well as monthly reconciliation of bank statements. This position reports to the Executive Director and is 15-20 hours per week.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Data entry, including invoices, deposits and general ledger journal entries
- Weekly check printing and bi-weekly payroll processing
- Month-end and year-end balancing of accounts and reconciliation of multiple bank statements
- Creating standard financial statements monthly, and special reports as requested
- Planning, supervising, and processing revenue for a minimum of two special events per year
- Gathering financial information annually for Form 990.
Requirements:
- 5+ years bookkeeping experience required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks required
- Intermediate to advanced competency with Peachtree accounting software preferred
- Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel preferred
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills required
- Nonprofit bookkeeping experience a plus.
