 Bookkeeper: The Arc of Tempe, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a full-charge, part-time bookkeeper. Must have experience in A/P and A/R, as well as monthly reconciliation of bank statements. This position reports to the Executive Director and is 15-20 hours per week.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Data entry, including invoices, deposits and general ledger journal entries
  • Weekly check printing and bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Month-end and year-end balancing of accounts and reconciliation of multiple bank statements
  • Creating standard financial statements monthly, and special reports as requested
  • Planning, supervising, and processing revenue for a minimum of two special events per year
  • Gathering financial information annually for Form 990. 

 Requirements:

  • 5+ years bookkeeping experience required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks required
  • Intermediate to advanced competency with Peachtree accounting software preferred
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills required
  • Nonprofit bookkeeping experience a plus.
