Saturday, October 29th was a beautiful day for the 2011 Greatest Human Race held at Hudson Park in Tempe. Participants enjoyed activity stations during the walk and a tasty hot dog lunch afterwards. This year’s theme was “Halloween Heroes,” and the participants showed what real heroes are made of during a costume pageant, displaying lots of enthusiasm and energy. The funds raised by this event help support the programs of The Arc of Tempe.
Special thanks to Monicque Faber for facilitating the donation of various goods, and to Safeway, Frito Lay, Zia Record Exchange, Angela Trojan, Aaron Gordon, and Maria Emerson for donating items for this year’s GHR.
